Activity, quotas and the leaderboard

Measuring who is actually doing the work, and what happens when they are not.

Three related things: activity is the raw record, quotas are the expectation, the leaderboard is the ranking.

Activity

Activity is what the handler reports from your game — joins, leaves, heartbeats, AFK transitions — plus Discord message counts if you have that switched on.

The Activity page shows totals per person over a period you choose. This is the evidence behind everything else on this page.

Quotas

A quota is a requirement: so many shift hours, sessions or messages within a period.

Set them up under Quotas. Evaluation runs on a schedule and marks each person met or not met. People who have a leave of absence recorded are handled as on leave rather than as failing.

Quota results are a record, not an automatic punishment — Evalyn does not demote anyone on your behalf.

The leaderboard

A ranking by one metric, chosen in the leaderboard's settings:

  • Shift hours — total time on shift.
  • Sessions attended — count of sessions.
  • Activity hours — total tracked activity.

You can restrict it to a minimum rank, and limit it to a time range — this week, month, quarter, year, or all time.

The metric column shows the same unit the metric is in: hours for the two duration metrics, a plain count for sessions. Three sessions attended reads as "3", not "3h".

Leave of absence

Someone on recorded leave is excluded from quota failure and can be tagged in Discord automatically — a role, and a bracketed prefix on their nickname.

The tag is reapplied on a schedule rather than set once, because Discord nickname syncing from other bots will otherwise overwrite it.
